Maria Victoria Pacis - Onguda , also known to her family and close friends as Marita or Marivic, was born in a small town of Binangonan in the province of Rizal in the Philippines on October 23, 1944 to Jose M. Pacis and Columba Barretto. She attended St. Mary's Academy - Manila and the Philippine Women's University (PWU) finishing up with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work. Maria Victoria Pacis - Onguda , also known to her family and close friends as Marita or Marivic, was born in a small town of Binangonan in the province of Rizal in the Philippines on October 23, 1944 to Jose M. Pacis and Columba Barretto. She attended St. Mary's Academy - Manila and the Philippine Women's University (PWU) finishing up with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work. Before she immigrated to the United States in 1979 to join her siblings, she faithfully cared for her father, and small nephews and nieces in the Philippines. Maria worked as a civilian employee doing administrative work at the Navy Annex in Arlington Virginia where she retired. Marivic was an active member of the PWU Alumni Association in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. She was a deeply religious person, actively participating in many of the events in her church. Maria was married to a very loving, caring, faithful, and loving husband, Alexander (Alex), for almost 24 years. They were an inseparable couple. Aside from her husband and numerous friends, Marita or Tita to her family, is survived by her brothers Perry (Cionie), Chito (Philomena), Joe (aka Pepito), sister Chiqui (Tony), nephews and nieces and their families in the Philippines, California, New Hampshire, New York, and Virginia. She joins her parents, her sister Carmen and her brother Sid (Connie) on the other side.
